The client struggled with systemic observability gaps across their hybrid environment, relying on fragmented tools that offered no end-to-end visibility into critical BizTalk, EMEX and gaming platforms. The absence of distributed tracing hindered root cause analysis, forcing teams into reactive, manual troubleshooting cycles.
Frequent uncorrelated alerts led to significant alert fatigue and delayed incident response. As platform complexity grew, these operational blind spots created substantial brand and regulatory risks, as even seconds of downtime or latency directly resulted in lost revenue and a degraded player experience.
The Prudent Solutions
Prudent Consulting implemented a centralized Splunk Observability and ITSI framework tailored for high-availability gaming. We deployed Splunk Open Telemetry Collectors across Windows servers, .NET applications, and Kubernetes nodes to unify metrics and traces. To enhance user experience, we integrated Real User Monitoring (RUM) and Synthetic Monitoring, ensuring proactive detection of latency across 23 critical BizTalk service URLs.
We further designed a comprehensive ITSI Service Model covering casino, online gaming and hospitality systems, implementing advanced health scoring and KPI thresholds. By configuring correlation logic and episode review, we transformed noisy data into actionable insights, visualized through executive Glass Tables for real-time transparency.
Finally, we empowered the operations team with standardized playbooks and documentation, shifting the organization from reactive monitoring to a sophisticated, service-centric observability practice. This transition ensured maximum uptime for revenue-critical gaming services while providing IT leadership with a unified, transparent view of the entire digital ecosystem.
