Advanced Revision Management and Order Fulfillment
The Challenge
The client faced significant friction in managing frequent revisions to their quotes. Their manual process involved handling complex changes at the line-item level, such as adding, copying, splitting, or canceling items, and modifying costs.
Additionally, they needed to send specific lines to Purchase Orders (PO) and Sales Orders (SO) selectively. Their existing system was too rigid, making these revisions cumbersome and prone to errors, which slowed down the entire order fulfillment cycle.
The Prudent Solutions
Prudent developed a customized Salesforce solution specifically designed to streamline the revision management process. We built a custom interface that enabled users to perform complex line-level actions effortlessly. Sales reps could now add, copy, split, or cancel specific items and modify quantities or costs within a few clicks.
Crucially, we integrated this with their ERP to allow for selective data transfer. Instead of sending an entire quote, the system allowed for specific line items to be sent to Purchase Orders and Sales Orders. This ensured that only relevant, updated items were transferred, drastically reducing manual data entry and ensuring that the fulfillment team always worked from the most current revision.
Business Outcomes
- Streamlined revision cycles by enabling complex line-item modifications without manual intervention.
- Reduced fulfillment errors through the selective transfer of line items to POs and Sales Orders.
- Improved order accuracy by ensuring the ERP and Salesforce remained in sync throughout the revision process.
- Increased sales productivity by removing the administrative burden of manual quote adjustments.
