The Challenge

The client’s Supply Chain Services team faced rising cost pressures — limited visibility into chemical pricing trends, and significant gaps across purchasing, invoicing, and receiving processes.

Disconnected systems made it difficult to track PO spend, detect after-the-fact POs, manage contract expirations, and monitor supplier diversity.

Existing reporting lacked usability and real-time insights, which slowed decision-making and weakened compliance, financial planning, and sourcing strategies across various business units.

The Prudent Solutions

Prudent designed and deployed a comprehensive, role-based Power BI analytics ecosystem tailored to the firm’s supply chain operations.

The solution unified data from sourcing, purchasing, invoicing, receiving, contracts, and supplier systems into a single, interactive reporting environment.

This successfully eliminated data silos and the need for manual reconciliation.
To support smarter sourcing and cost control, we created a Chemical Indices Dashboard to track price trends of critical chemicals, enabling more informed negotiations and procurement planning.

Purchasing Metrics dashboards delivered real-time insights into spend and business unit performance, while a dedicated Contracts dashboard flagged agreements nearing expiration to ensure proactive renewals.

Furthermore, a Supplier Diversity dashboard provided clear visibility into diverse supplier spend to support ESG and regulatory reporting.

To improve governance, we implemented After-the-Fact PO analysis and automated Invoice–Receipt–PO matching to strengthen the entire procure-to-pay cycle.
