Technical Lead - Network
Our client is a manufacturing company in the Chicago loop that has been in
business for over 100 years. They are seeking a Network Technical Lead.

Position Summary:
Lead network activities across IT and the plants (i.e., Oracle 11i). Focus on
company-wide solutions. Develop, analyze, and recommend architectural
alternatives for network assets, including LANs, WANs, MANs, WLANs, SANs, and
network security. Ensure projects are implemented that meet quality and network
standards, business/technical requirements, budgets and deadlines.
Develop technical project plans for team activities. Participate in identifying metrics for measuring system performance and utilization. Mentor junior level technical staff. No direct reports. Some travel will be required.
Required Qualifications
Excellent analytical, problem solving, project management, interpersonal, and
communication (written and oral)
Demonstrated deep network technology skills in physical networking (e.g.,
LAN/WAN integration, remote access, wireless, etc.) and logical networking
(e.g., TCP/IP design, DNS, DHCP, directory services, etc.) and experience in
Network Management (VPN, Global networks, WAN and LAN architecture)
Multiple full life cycle experiences with a focus on network or infrastructure
related tasks and demonstrated increasing levels of responsibility. Experience
in leading projects and successfully managing network operations and teams
Competent in Microsoft Project and ability to craft work plans and assign
resources.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of company s business and technical environments
Experience with LXE RF devices
Applicable Cisco certifications (CCNA, CCNP, CCIE)
Prior Oracle eBusiness Suite and / or Oracle database experience
Experience with Oracle s MSCA module
Experience with Oracle s CTI module
Experience in a large scale performance test using the Mercury suite of
products
Education/Years of Experience/Other
SEI CMM training and experience
Minimum of 7 years relevant IT experience
Minimum of 3 years experience working in a large organization s IT department
Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Information Systems, or equivalent work
experience is required. Master preferred

Software Design Engineer
We are currently looking for a Software Design Engineer in Chicago, IL.
Principle Duties:
Principle Duties: Leader in software development of high-end gaming software
system and software design and review. Requirements definition and analysis
including resolving conflicting priorities with end users. Unit testing of
developed code. Investigation, root cause analysis and fix of software and
system defects. Provides technical leadership for small team focused on
specific software module. Needs to support interactions with other divisions to
gather requirements, demonstrate technology and resolve problems. Needs to
contribute to process improvements. Needs to define, elaborate, and evangelize
the Probe technology roadmap.
General Accountabilities:
- Software development of application or system components.
- Software design and review.
- Requirements definition and analysis.
- Unit testing of developed code.
- Investigation and root cause analysis of software and system defects.
- Process engineering.
Job Specification:
- Minimum of a BS degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Minimum of Ten years of work experience and a minimum of Seven years of hands
on development experience.
- Solid Java, SQL and PL/SQL programming skills and environments.
- Strong algorithm development skills.<
- Strong expertise in development and optimization work in an Oracle
environment.
- Experience in OO Design, Java, and JDBC in UNIX/WINDOWS environments
required.
- Familiarity with JUnit or other testing frameworks is a plus.
- Familiarity with ClearCase, and other Rational tools, is a plus.
- Able to lead technical teams on short to mid-duration development projects.
Requires a minimum of 3+ years of technical project leadership experience.
- In-depth understanding of software development life cycles and methods by
which to optimize the life cycle for project needs.
- Expert at all levels of the software development spectrum.
- Strong analytical and multi-tasking ability.
- Strong technical writing and oral communication skills, especially in dealing
with non-technical staff.
